3. Forest Research Institute:

Only the oldest institution in the state is located just seven kilometers from Dehradun Clock Tower. Talking about the history of FRI, the British Imperial Forest School was established in 1878 in the British period.

Then in 1906 under the British Imperial Forestry Service was reestablished as the Imperial Forest Research Institute (IFS).
